Ian McMurray is a writer and editor. He lives in Portland, OR.
Ian is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University, where he received the 2015 Roberto R. Arellano award for excellence in writing, and of the Iowa Writers' Workshop, where he studied fiction as a Susan Boyd fellow. Ian has also worked as a copyeditor and as an educator for high schoolers and college undergraduates. His writing has received generous support from the Stanley-UI Foundation. He writes occasional criticism, and he is currently at work on a collection of short stories.
He is currently reading Percival Everett’s Dr. No; he is currently watching True Detective: Night Country.
